Our time together will be fluid and we'll follow the children's lead in whatever is inspiring their play. Enjoy your time together; this time is for you and your little Wildling.  Please do not enter the barn- it is a working farm and the barn has tools in it. Please respect the gardens and watch yours and your littles steps. Even an area that doesn't "look" like anything is growing could be hiding something yummy and we don't want to squish it with our feet!

How to Dress for Farm, Forest & Nature School:

EVERY DAY: HATS  Sun hat or Warm Hat;  For Grown-Ups too!

Warm/Hot Days: Sandals or shoes and clothes that can wet or muddy
Cool/ Wet Days: Splash pants, rain boots, warm sweater

Cold Days: Base layer, Snowsuit, Snow boots, 2-3 pairs of waterproof mittens, warm hat, neckwarmer, wool or thick socks

Dress for the weather! We will play and explore RAIN OR SHINE!

We will need to cancel our activities in the event of severe weather.

What to bring:

  • Small backpack with:

    • Water Bottles

    • Snacks

    • Extra Clothes

    • Bug Spray / Sunscreen

  • Your sense of adventure and readiness to play!

Where to go:

We are located on the property of Moondance Organic Gardens: 8463 5th Line, Angus ON

Parking:

You can park in the parking lot immediately to the right when you turn into the driveway near there big white building. Walk down the path towards the big gray barn with the green and purple quilt on it. Take your first right towards the Forest. There will be signs for the first week.

What to Expect:

Walking paths are either grass or packed dirt. Please wear appropriate footwear for the weather conditions and to be outside. We do not have a changing area for diaper changes. Please plan accordingly. We have a professionally cleaned porta-potty with a potty seat and a stool for the little feet.

Beware of Dogs: There are working farm dogs on the property: Shasta (all white,) and Jager (black and white). We call them our "Doggy Doorbells" - they will bark to alert us that someone has arrived. When they are out on the farm, they are working and will not approach you. They are extremely friendly but when they are out, they are working and they take their job seriously.

Ruby (Golden Retriever) is our Rewilding Education Farm, Forest and Nature School Dog. She gets VERY excited to meet new people and her bark may be big and loud the first time she meets or greets you. She feels like she needs to 'protect' the Rewilding kiddos as her herd and has big barks for new grown-ups. She is the biggest suck and is an EXTREMELY gentle dog. Ruby is very happy to be pet and loved by little hands.
